The world has been through so much up to this point in Revelation, it’s hard to imagine there could still be more destruction coming, yet here we are about to see judgment poured out from heaven upon earth. To say it is undeserved would be untrue. Anyone who has been raised with or spent time reading the word of God can clearly see the current state of things. While there are many who follow the word of God and keep the Lord’s commandments, there are many, many more who do not. This world is in a fallen state and much like when we scrub our homes during spring cleaning, it needs to be cleansed. This righteous judgment of God will do just that.

“After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.”

The scene in Heaven seems like something out of a fantasy movie in my mind. If I set the stage before the scene begins, I'm imagining a large open space glowing with golden light and a mist covered floor. Every figure has a glow all their own and the angels that enter are the brightest. Though my imaginings may be completely off mark, the most important thing here is what is about to happen.

“And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands. Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever.”

These seven angels are given not only the seven bowls of the wrath of God but they are also in possession of the seven plagues. As I read through the chapter, these bowls will poured out upon the earth and the plagues of Egypt will come again to the earth. I have to stop myself from imagining the movie the mummy and remember that this isn't a movie set. This outpouring of suffering will actually happen and many will be the victims of it.

Before you panic, remember, the church (god's people who believe and follow His son Jesus Christ) have already gone out of the world and are with Him. This judgement is upon this who still remain on earth. Go back to the beginning of my series on Surviving the last days if you missed it and are confused.

“The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.”

God's judgement is nothing I want to tamper with and Knowing that denying Him comes with a very heavy cost, should fuel me into sharing the saving truth of His message to everyone I know now, before the Lord takes His us out of this world.

Little sparrows, Our mission here on God's earth is to share His love with others. I admit it is not easy for me to share when I'm face to face with someone. It's becomes harder still to share with people I know than with perfect strangers. I imagine that is because I don't feel worthy in their eyes but I have to remember that I was never worthy in the first place. Only HE is worthy, and only HE can save the world.

Share the hope of salvation with someone you know and let God do the rest.
